About Christina

I relocated to Wilmington with my husband and kids in 1999 from the San Franscisco Bay Area and have never looked back. People ask me if I miss it and I can still only think about to road rage, shacks that cost a million dollars, terrible schools, and all the irritating daily stress of trying to raise two kids amongst all that. Though I do hanker for the food choices in our old neighbohood. It was frequent question in our house: "What do you want for dinner? Laotian, Ethiopian, Indian, Thai, Cambodian, Japanese, Greek, or Hunan? But Wilmington has some good restaurants too. I also miss the chatter among all the cafe-bound Web 2.0 moguls. But those are small things. I moved to Wilmington to focus on my family and my writing and I've never been happier.

I work full-time as a writer. I've got a closet full of journalism awards--somewhere under the kid art projects--and my work has appeared in Family Circle, Popular Science, Edutopia, US Airways Magazine, USA Today, Haven, and many other national publications. I also have a book coming out this year on technology--for women. Here on Wilmaville.com, though, I get to write about the things that are closest to me: the fun I'm having in our chosen town with my family.
