I am a Colorado native, who has lived in Wilmaville for almost 10 years. I moved to town to be with a childhood crush who is now my husband. (No stalking was involved.) We have three children and hope to add a couple of pets soon (specifically a rabbit).
Besides Denver, I have lived in a lot of places (Prague, London, Johannesburg, New York, Washington, DC, and so on) and Wilmington is the smallest town I've lived in. But the area's population has quadrupled since I moved here and there is a lot more to do. I'm serious. Who wouldn't want to live near such quiet, undiscovered beautiful beaches? It is also a great place to raise kids.
According to Veronica, the oldest at 7, Mom left work at the Star-News in January to work at the Harris Teeter bakery "because it is across from our house and she can walk to work." (Much as I like to bake and like Harris Teeter, the grocery store is not across the street and I resigned to stay home with these cool kids of mine, as well as to write. But it doesn't hurt that I can work on my tan and eat bon-bons for a good chunk of the day. Just kidding....)
